Book Cover and Interior Design for non-fiction youth publisher OTTN Publishing, Stockton, NJ.
Each of these book series projects included photo editing, research and selection, color correction, as well as the creation of custom accent artwork and maps, sidebars and charts.
Each series contained three books or more.
Africa: Progress and Problems
This project involved the design and production of 13 book covers and interiors, the creation of a textured fabric pattern, custom charts, graphs, and maps, as well as photo editing and research.
Flip-It-Over Guides to Teen Emotions
This unique project involved the design and production of six hardcover "flip over" book covers and interiors, custom sidebar artwork, as well as photo editing and research. One side of the book was intended for girls, whereas the other side was intended for boys. The reader must vertically flip the book over to read the other half of the content.
Art & Architecture of China
This project involved the design and production of 10 book interiors for the series entitled "The History and Culture of China." The opening pattern was created through scanning fine art paper and hand painting the flowers in Illustrator. The series also required the creation of custom charts, graphs, and maps, as well as photo editing and research.
True Bill Press Books
This project involved the design and production of 2 hardcover and paperback book covers and interiors. Each robust book featured 200+ pages of typesetting with footnotes.
The Road to War: Causes of Conflict
This project involved the design and production of 5 book covers and interiors (each ranging from 64-72 pages), the creation of custom charts, graphs, and maps, as well as photo editing and research.
Shapers of America Series
This project involved the design and production of 3 book covers and interiors (each ranging from 136-168 pages), the creation of custom charts, graphs, and maps, as well as photo editing and research.
